I’ve realized that you shouldn’t compromise what you’re looking for in a friend (or partner) and that it’s okay to draw boundaries and to be selective about who you choose to associate with; try asking yourself: does this person bring me more joy than not? Do they cause me any discomfort or harm? Do they challenge and influence me to be a better person, or are they a discouraging and weighted presence in my life?
